1. Using multiple automation tools
This is the #1 cause of restrictions.
If you're using multiple LinkedIn extensions or automation tools at the same time (for example: Zeliq + another tool), LinkedIn detects abnormal behavior.
Why?
Each tool uses a different IP address. LinkedIn sees:
Your manual actions (your personal IP)
Extension 1's actions (tool's IP)
Extension 2's actions (other tool's IP)
Result: 3 different IP addresses for one account. LinkedIn interprets this as suspicious activity.
Solution:
Use only one automation tool at a time. If you switch tools, completely disable the old one before activating the new one.
2. Country configuration in your automation tool
If the country configured in your tool (for example Captain Data) doesn't match the country where you actually connect from, LinkedIn can detect it.
Example:
You work in France
Your tool is configured with United States
LinkedIn sees an inconsistency and may restrict your account.
Solution:
Check that the country set in your tool matches your actual location.
3. Using a VPN
VPNs are useful for security, but they can cause issues if:
Your VPN's country doesn't match your usual location
Your VPN's country doesn't match the one configured in your automation tool
Solution:
If you use a VPN, make sure that:
It's configured to the same country as your automation tool
You use it consistently (no frequent country changes)
4. Recent or inactive LinkedIn account
If your account is new or you've never been active on LinkedIn, a sudden spike in automated activities can seem suspicious.
What happens:
LinkedIn may display a warning at first. This is normal. After a "warm-up" period (gradual ramp-up), your account stabilizes.
Solution:
If your account is recent:
Start slowly (a few actions per day)
Gradually increase activity volume
Be patient: warm-up can take several weeks
Summary
To avoid LinkedIn restrictions:
✅ Only one automation tool at a time
✅ Configure the right country in your tool
✅ Use your VPN consistently
✅ Let your account mature gradually
If your account has been restricted, contact LinkedIn support to request a review. In most cases, by correcting these points, you'll be able to recover access.
