Modifying a running sequence in ZELIQ allows you to update your messaging, cadence, or targeting to improve outreach results. This guide will help you safely and effectively modify an active sequence without disrupting the ongoing workflow.
📝 Modify the message content
Modifying the message content of the sequence's emails or LinkedIn messages is effective for either:
New leads that will enter the sequence;
Leads who have already begun the sequence for the steps that have not yet happened.
🚀 Steps
1. Access the Sequence 🔍
Log into your ZELIQ account.
Navigate to the "Sequences" tab located in the main navigation bar.
Find the sequence you wish to modify under the "Running Sequences" section.
2. Pause the Sequence ⏸️
Pausing ensures that the changes are applied consistently and avoid conflicts.
Click on the "Green" button on the left of your sequence's name to pause the sequence.
Click on the sequence name to open it.
3. Edit Sequence Steps ✏️
You can modify different aspects of the sequence such as messages, or delays.
To Edit a Message:
Go to the message step you want to modify.
Update the text, personalization tokens, or links.
To Edit Delay or Time Between Steps:
Select the delay or wait step you wish to modify.
Adjust the time settings (e.g., from 2 days to 1 day).
5. Resume the Sequence ▶️
Once you've made your changes:
Go to step 5 of the sequence page - Review and launch - and click "Update" to reactivate it.
🃏Add or remove steps in a running sequence
🚨Adding or removing steps of a running sequence can hurt the leads who have already begun the sequence.
If you want to change the steps for leads who have already begun the sequence, we highly recommend you pause the sequence and create another one, with the leads and the right steps.
