Configure your sequence settings

Define the days, times, and stop rules for your sequences to automate your reminders at the right moment.

Updated over a week ago

Take total control over how your sequences are executed. ZELIQ lets you customize your sending cadences to ensure relevant interactions at the right times.

Schedule sequence

In the Schedule tab, you choose when and how your steps will be linked.

Start date & time

  • Start date: define when the sequence begins.

  • Start time: specify the exact time at which ZELIQ will start sending the steps.

Time zone

  • Choose the right time zone for your target. Example: Europe/Paris for France.

  • This ensures that your messages go out during your leads' office hours.

Sending time slot

  • Define the times when steps can be executed (e.g. 08:00 to 19:00).

  • Prevents messages from being sent too early or too late.

Days allowed

  • Check the days on which you want your sequences to be active (e.g. Monday to Friday).

  • This prevents shipment at weekends or on non-working days.

Managing sequence stops

In the Manage Sequence tab, you can choose which events automatically interrupt the continuation of a sequence.

You can stop the sequence:

  • When the lead responds (default setting): the sequence stops as soon as a response is detected.

  • When email is opened: useful for reminders based solely on failure to open.

  • When the link is clicked: interrupts the sequence if a sign of strong interest is detected.

Tip: activate this option if you use tracked links to a calendar or product page.

Managing sequence steps - Skip steps settings

The Skip Steps settings help you automate your sequences by bypassing certain actions when specific conditions are met.
This ensures you don’t waste time on irrelevant steps and keep your outreach clean and efficient.

How it works

You can choose to skip a step in your sequence if certain conditions are true.
Here’s what each option means:

  1. Not connected on LinkedIn after X days → Skip DM step

    • If you haven’t connected with a lead on LinkedIn within the set number of days, the Direct Message step will be skipped.

    • Example: If set to 2 days, and no connection is made by day 2, the DM step will not run.

  2. Manual task not completed within X days → Skip task

    • If a manual action (like a call or email task) isn’t completed within the set timeframe, it will be skipped automatically.

    • Example: You have 2 days to complete a call task; after that, the system moves on to the next step.

  3. No email address → Skip email step

    • If a lead doesn’t have an email address in their profile, any email step will be skipped.

  4. No LinkedIn URL → Skip LinkedIn step

    • If a lead’s profile doesn’t include a LinkedIn URL, all LinkedIn-related steps will be skipped.

  5. No phone number → Skip call step

    • If there’s no phone number on file, any call step in the sequence will be skipped.

  6. Email address bounces → Skip email step

    • If an email is detected as bounced, the system will skip any future email steps for that lead.

Why use skip steps?

  • Save time – Avoid trying actions that are impossible due to missing info.

  • Improve deliverability – Skipping bounced emails prevents hurting your sender reputation.

  • Keep sequences relevant – Leads only get steps they can actually receive.

  • Automate cleanly – Reduce manual cleanup work in your sequences.

Tips

  • Use short delays for time-sensitive actions like LinkedIn connection checks.

  • Review your lead data regularly to reduce skipped steps.

  • Combine skip steps with good lead enrichment to maximize sequence efficiency.

Daily sending limit

Email

To protect your sender reputation and guarantee optimum deliverability, ZELIQ applies a daily limit to the number of emails sent per user.

  • By default, a smart limit of 100 emails per day is activated to avoid suspicious mass mailings.

  • An email is sent every 79 seconds, automatically and uniformly.

  • Once the limit has been reached, the remaining steps are automatically carried over to the next day, within the defined time slot.

👉 Result: your sequences run without the risk of blacklisting or spam.

Manage daily sending limit

LinkedIn action limits

ZELIQ applies quotas imposed by LinkedIn to guarantee the security of your account and avoid blocking. The limits depend on the type of account you use.

👉 For classic accounts:

  • 25 connection requests without message per day

  • 5 connection requests with message per month

  • 50 LinkedIn messages sent per day

  • 50 profile visits per day

👉 For Sales Navigator accounts:

  • 30 connection requests per day

  • Connection requests with message: unlimited

  • 250 LinkedIn messages sent per day

  • 500 profile visits per day

Once the limit is reached, ZELIQ automatically pauses all actions until the next day, so there's no need to keep an eye on things - we'll do it for you.
