Meet Zelia

What is Zelia? Zelia is Zeliq's AI copilot. It's a conversational assistant built into your workspace: you talk to it in plain language, and it searches, analyzes and acts directly inside Zeliq for you. It does three things: answer your questions, run ac

Who can use Zelia?

Zelia is in private beta, rolling out gradually. If you don't see it in Zeliq yet, you can sign up for the beta from the intro card.

Where do I find Zelia in Zeliq?

Two entry points, the same Zelia. The floating button in the bottom right opens a chat window you can move around. The dedicated page shows your previous conversations on the side.

What Zelia can do

What can I ask it?

Anything tied to your day-to-day prospecting. For example: "Find 5 new contacts", "What's my next task?", "Show me my sequence performance", "Prepare my next meeting", "Analyze how my pipeline fits my ICP". If you're not sure where to start, click a suggested prompt.

Can Zelia find new prospects?

Yes. It searches for new contacts and companies in the Zeliq database based on your criteria (role, industry, location, company size) and adds them to your prospects. It can also round things out with a web search.

Can Zelia enrich my contacts?

Yes. It retrieves verified emails and phone numbers for your contacts. Enrichment uses credits from your account.

Can Zelia manage my sequences?

Yes. It creates and edits your sequences and their steps, adds or removes contacts, and gives you the performance metrics. One useful note: adding a contact to a sequence is not the same as assigning them an owner.

Can Zelia write my emails?

Yes. It drafts a personalized email based on your contact's profile and your context. You stay in control of sending.

Can Zelia help me prioritize and prepare my meetings?

Yes. Ask for your next task, meeting prep, or an analysis of your pipeline against your ICP. It pulls together your Zeliq data and surfaces the prospects to follow up with first.

Talking with Zelia

How do I ask my question?

Type in the input bar, in plain language, like you would to a colleague. You can also dictate by voice. Enter to send, Shift plus Enter for a line break.

What are suggested and saved prompts?

Suggested prompts are ready-made questions to get started quickly. Saved prompts are yours: store your recurring requests and reuse them in one click. A skill is something else: a way of working that Zelia applies on its own, without you sending anything. See "Zelia skills".

Suggested prompts (full-page mode):

Saved prompts (full-page mode). You can save any prompt from your question:

How do I stop a response in progress?

While Zelia is writing, a stop button lets you interrupt the response at any time.

What are the actions shown under a response?

Under each response, Zelia offers action shortcuts, for example adding prospects to a sequence or creating a task. One click and it's done, without leaving the conversation. It also shows its reasoning steps and the sources it used.

Reasoning:

Actions under a response:

Where are my previous conversations?

They're kept in your history, on the side (at the right). You can reopen them, mark them as read, and delete them.

Tuning Zelia to your needs

How do I personalize Zelia?

Open Zelia's settings to tailor it to your work: your business context and your ICP, its personality and response tone, custom instructions, for example your scoring criteria, and skills: instructions Zelia applies on its own in a specific situation. See "Zelia skills".

Tips for better results

Be specific, especially about location.

The more targeted your request (role, industry, region), the more relevant the results. A few well-targeted prospects beat a large, loose batch.

One request at a time.

If you have several needs, split them into separate messages. Zelia handles them better one by one.

Keep your context up to date.

Your business context and your ICP guide every answer. Up-to-date context means sharper answers.

Review before you act.

On high-volume requests, check the proposed list before launching an action. You stay in the pilot seat.

Skills

Article: Zelia skills

Intercom title: Zelia skills

Description: Write an instruction once, Zelia applies it on its own.

In short

A skill is your way of working, written once. Zelia applies it on its own when the situation comes back: no command to type, no button. It is yours alone: no one else can see it. Skills are for users who have access to Zelia (private beta).

You find it in Zelia settings, under Skills. A 2 min 30 video, in French, shows how to create one: https://www.loom.com/share/ed855521f2304a3c88fc72aee8fe6823

Create your first skill

Three ways, from the fastest to the most free.

  1. Copy an example. The Zelia in practice page offers five skills ready to copy: "My meeting brief", "Clean up a dictated email", "My standard sequence", "My priorities for today" and "Call debrief → follow-up task". Each one has a title, a trigger and an instruction. Paste them as they are, then adapt them to the way you work.

  2. Ask Zelia to write it. Say "Make me a skill for… I need a title, a trigger and instructions." or "Help me create a skill for Zelia." Zelia asks you 3 to 5 questions, one at a time, then returns the title, the trigger and the instruction. You can also click the suggestion "Stop repeating myself (create a skill)", in the Onboarding group of the suggestions of a new conversation. Zelia does not save the skill for you: copy its whole reply with the button under the message, then paste it into the Title field of the form (see below).

  3. Write it yourself, directly in the form.

Add a skill in your settings

  1. Open Zelia settings.

  2. Under What Zelia can do, click Skills.

  3. Click Add a skill.

  4. Fill in Title, Trigger and Instruction.

  5. Click Add. The skill is active right away.

Tip: did Zelia write the skill? Copy its whole reply with the button under the message, then paste it into the Title field while the form is still empty. Title, Trigger and Instruction fill in at once. Review, fix if needed, then click Add: nothing is saved before that.

You can close the settings before step 5, for example to reread Zelia's reply: the draft of a new skill waits for you when you reopen them, under Skills. It goes away when you click Add or Cancel, or if you reload the page.

Write a good skill

  • The title helps you find it in the list. A result or an action: "My meeting brief".

  • The trigger is the field that matters most. Zelia picks a skill by reading only its title and its trigger. Describe the situation in one sentence, then give 3 or 4 sentences you really type: "prep my meeting with…", "I have a call tomorrow with…". Your real sentences work better than a label like "Meeting preparation".

  • The instruction says how to do it, in rules you can check: "one page, in 5 parts", "5 lines maximum", "ask me your questions, wait for my answers, then show the plan", "don't add anything to Zeliq without my approval". Avoid "clear", "concise", "punchy": Zelia does not know where to stop. Write it as you would explain it to a new colleague.

Limits: 200 characters for the title, 2,000 for the trigger, 20,000 for the instruction. A counter appears when you get close to the limit.

Manage your skills

  • Disable or enable it. Each row has an Active / Inactive switch. An inactive skill no longer applies, but stays in the list.

  • Edit it. Open it in the list, change what you want, then save.

  • Delete it. Delete skill: Zelia will no longer use this skill, and you won't be able to recover it. Existing responses remain unchanged. To use it again later, disable it instead.

Troubleshooting

Zelia does not apply my skill. Check that it is Active. Then reread its trigger: Zelia compares it to your request, so it should look like what you type. Try one of its example sentences in a new conversation. The instruction is only read once the skill has been picked.

I can't see which skill Zelia used. When Zelia applies one of your skills, it shows it in its reasoning steps, with "⚙️" followed by the title. If you don't see that step, judge by the result: the format, order and length you asked for.

Two of my skills look alike. If their rules contradict each other, Zelia may ask you which one to apply. Keep the one you prefer and disable the other, or tighten their triggers so they describe different situations.

My skill asks Zelia for something it can't do. A skill guides Zelia with what it can already do: it does not add a new capability. For example, Zelia does not edit an existing task yet, and it prepares email drafts for you to review rather than sending them. Rephrase the rule: "tell me which task to reschedule" instead of "reschedule the task".

The form rejects my text. Each field has a maximum length (see above). Shorten the flagged field, or move the detail into the instruction, the longest of the three.

My paste stays whole in the Title. Automatic filling needs an empty form and a text that contains the three headings Title, Trigger and Instructions. Clear the three fields, then paste Zelia's reply into the Title again.

What Zelia can't do yet

  • Save for you a skill it has just written.

  • Share a skill with your team: it is personal.

  • Start a skill by hand: it applies on its own.

FAQ: Zelia skills

What is a skill?

An instruction you write once and Zelia applies on its own when the situation comes back. It has a title, a trigger (the situation) and an instruction (how to do it). You create it in Zelia settings, under Skills. See the article "Zelia skills".

What is the difference between a skill, "My instructions" and a saved prompt?

  • My instructions: what you always ask Zelia, like your tone or your working language.

  • A skill: a way of working for a specific situation, such as a follow-up or a meeting brief. Zelia applies it on its own when the situation comes back.

  • A saved prompt: a text you insert in the message bar with one click. You send it yourself.

A rule that always applies goes in My instructions. A rule for one situation goes in a skill.

Can my colleagues see my skills?

No. This skill is yours alone: no one else can see it.

Can Zelia write a skill for me? Save it?

It can write it: tell it "Make me a skill for… I need a title, a trigger and instructions." It asks a few questions, then returns the three fields. It can't save it for you: copy its whole reply with the button under the message, then paste it into the Title field of Zelia settings > Skills > Add a skill. The three fields fill in: review them, then click Add.

Can a skill make Zelia create or change things in Zeliq?

It can guide Zelia for what it already does, like creating a task, a note or a sequence. Write "don't add anything to Zeliq without my approval" in the instruction to stay in control. It does not add a capability: Zelia does not edit an existing task yet, for example.

Can I recover a deleted skill?

No. Zelia will no longer use it and you won't be able to recover it. To use it again later, disable it with the Active / Inactive switch.

Limits and trust

What can't Zelia do yet?

Today, Zelia doesn't access your calendar or your inbox, and doesn't read your CRM directly, except HubSpot through the Zeliq integration. To make calls, connect your email or LinkedIn accounts, import a file, or manage members and billing, it points you to the right page in Zeliq. It also doesn't edit an existing task, save a skill for you or write to your settings: you make those changes yourself.

Can Zelia make mistakes?

Yes, like any AI. You stay in the pilot seat: check before you act. A thumbs up or thumbs down on each response helps us improve it.
