Zeliq MCP

Connect Zeliq to Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP Client and use your Zeliq tools from your AI assistant.

In short

Zeliq MCP lets you work in Zeliq from Claude, ChatGPT or any other compatible MCP Client. You can search for prospects, read and update contacts in Zeliq, and enrich contacts. You can also manage tasks, notes and sequences, and ask Zelia a question. Claude or ChatGPT acts with the same rights you have in Zeliq, no more.

The MCP is open to every Zeliq account, FREE included. Questions to Zelia are reserved for teams with access to the Zelia beta.

Before you start

You need:

  • your Zeliq account;

  • the MCP address: https://mcp.zeliq.com/mcp.

Is your organization on Claude Team or Enterprise? Only an Owner can add the connector, in Organization settings > Connectors. Each team member then signs in with their own Zeliq account.

Zeliq tool permissions in Claude

Choose what Claude can do without asking you. In Customize > Connectors > Zeliq, the tool permissions sort the tools into two groups: read-only and write. For each tool, you choose whether Claude can always use it, needs your approval, or is blocked.

Connect Zeliq to ChatGPT

Use ChatGPT in a web browser. MCP apps do not work in the mobile app, and Zeliq works with every ChatGPT subscription, FREE included.

With a personal ChatGPT account (Free, Plus or Pro):

  1. Click Plugins in the sidebar, then click Add in the top right and choose Add custom MCP server.

  2. Name it “Zeliq”, paste https://mcp.zeliq.com/mcp in Connection, keep OAuth as the authentication method, tick I understand and want to continue, then confirm.

  3. Sign in to Zeliq when ChatGPT asks, then continue with the connection steps.

In a ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace, an admin creates the app:

  1. Open your profile menu, then Workspace settings.

  2. Open Plugins, then Apps, and click + Create. If ChatGPT asks you to enable developer mode, click Enable developer mode.

  3. In New App, enter “Zeliq”, paste https://mcp.zeliq.com/mcp in Server URL, and keep OAuth in Authentication. Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create.

  4. Open Plugins in the sidebar, select Zeliq, click Connect, then Continue to Zeliq.

  5. On Zeliq’s authorization page, click Authorize, then sign in with your Zeliq account.

  6. In a conversation, type @Zeliq at the beginning of your message and choose Zeliq from the list. The selection applies to one message, so type @Zeliq again when a request needs it.

  7. Send your first request.

The app is only visible to the admin who created it until it is published. To open it to the team, the admin publishes it to the workspace. Each person then signs in with their own Zeliq account.

Connect Zeliq to another MCP Client

Zeliq works with any compatible MCP Client, for example n8n. Add a remote MCP server with https://mcp.zeliq.com/mcp, then sign in with your Zeliq account. Menus differ from one MCP Client to another, so follow its documentation.

What you authorize

  • Your rights. The authorization page says that the application can use Zeliq on your behalf through Zelia and the available tools, within the rights of your account. Claude or ChatGPT can do what you can do in Zeliq, no more.

  • No deletion. No tool deletes data. You can remove an assignment or take a contact out of a sequence, but you cannot erase data.

  • Approvals. Claude asks for your approval before using a tool set to require approval. You can choose Allow once, Always allow or Deny. By default, ChatGPT uses read tools without asking and asks for confirmation before a write. You can remember your choice for the conversation, and a new conversation asks again.

  • Always allow. For search and read tools, except Ask Zelia, this avoids a question for every request because these tools cost nothing and do not write to Zeliq. For other tools, it also removes the approval request before an enrichment, which costs credits, or before adding contacts to a sequence, which can trigger real emails. We advise against always allowing these two actions.

  • Instructions, not locks. Zeliq’s tools ask Claude or ChatGPT to announce the cost before an enrichment and wait for your approval. These are instructions followed by the MCP Client, not a technical block.

  • Traceability. Every write is logged on the Zeliq side. Logs contain no email address, phone number or identifier.

  • Removing access. Zeliq does not yet provide a screen to revoke access for a connected application. In Claude, the Disconnect button on the connector page cuts access on your side.

Your first request

Start with a request that costs nothing and writes nothing in Zeliq:

Find me HR directors in the Paris region.

Claude asks for permission to use Zeliq search

Claude asks for permission to use the search tool. ChatGPT does not ask for a read. The result is a list of prospects that are not yet in Zeliq. They do not include an email address or phone number. To find those details, add the prospects to Zeliq and then run an enrichment.

Then check your balance:

How many credits do I have left?

For more examples and ready-to-copy prompts, see The MCP in practice.

Credits

  • The MCP: it is not billed, whatever your plan, FREE included. Only actions that already cost credits in the app use credits.

  • What costs credits: enrichment. Enrichment costs the same as in the app. A phone number found costs 10 credits. An email found costs 1 credit on FREE, STARTER and ESSENTIAL plans, and 0 on ADVANCED and ENTERPRISE plans. You only pay for contacts where data is found.

  • Zelia: questions to Zelia are free during the Zelia beta and will become paid later. Zelia can run an enrichment for you, which then uses your credits. In Claude, you can turn Zelia off at any time.

  • Everything else is free: search, reading and updating contacts, tasks, notes and sequences.

  • Your balance: ask “How many credits do I have left?”.

  • Turn Zelia off: disable the ask_zelia tool. In Claude, set Ask Zelia to Blocked in Customize > Connectors > Zeliq. ChatGPT does not currently let you disable a single tool.

Zeliq and your other tools

Claude or ChatGPT can use Zeliq with your other connectors in the same conversation, such as Salesforce, Clay, Slack, your calendar or your inbox. For example, you can take prospects found in Clay, find them in Zeliq, then add them to a sequence. Each tool needs its own connector, added in the same way as Zeliq. For HubSpot, use Zeliq’s native integration.

Troubleshooting

My organization blocks the connection. Some companies filter connectors and external applications, for example through Azure. The connection then stops before it reaches Zeliq, and only your IT team can allow it. Contact them with the MCP address. On Claude Team or Enterprise, also check that an Owner has added the connector.

Zeliq’s authorization or sign-in page opens, then nothing happens. Sign in again, then open a new conversation. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors > Zeliq, click Disconnect, then Connect.

Claude or ChatGPT cannot find Zeliq’s tools. In Claude, check that Zeliq is enabled in the conversation by clicking +, then Connectors. In ChatGPT, type @Zeliq at the beginning of the message and choose Zeliq from the list.

Claude says that the call was not approved. The request stopped at Claude’s approval step, before reaching Zeliq. Run it again, then click Allow once or Always allow. To avoid this question for searches, set search and read tools to Always allow.

I cannot see Zeliq in ChatGPT on my phone. ChatGPT MCP apps work on the web only.

A request fails in ChatGPT although it worked before. ChatGPT keeps the tool list from the day the app was created. After a Zeliq update, the app’s tools need to be refreshed. If your organization published the app, ask your admin to update it.

My request to Zelia stops after one minute. ChatGPT and some other MCP Clients can stop waiting for a Zelia request after around 60 seconds, while Zelia can continue for up to 4 minutes. Check in Zeliq what was done before retrying, otherwise the action may be performed twice.

Search pauses. Above 40 searches per minute, search pauses instead of blocking your account. Wait one minute.

Good practices

  • Check in Zeliq before retrying a request that appears to have failed.

  • After an enrichment, ask for the contact again a little later, because the result does not arrive in the conversation.

  • Type labels exactly. Updating a contact’s labels replaces all of their labels, and a name that differs by one letter creates a second label.

  • Use Zelia once in Zeliq so that your sales context, including your ICP, is filled in. Without this, Claude or ChatGPT finds it empty.
